Artonomy's Adult creativity workshops are hands-on and use a variety of art mediums—painting, ceramics, batik, printmaking, and collage—to unleash "the creator". Guided instruction in learning artistic styles and techniques build towards creating a personalized work of art.

Spark Workshops

Possibilities with Paint

Explore the world of paint. Play with color, texture and space by dripping, brushing, dabbing and scratching into paint. Marvel at the works of the abstract expressionists. Learn to color mix and use a variety of different tools and techniques. Co-create a large abstract mural and a painting of your own.
Select one date. Saturday January 9th, February 6th, or March 13th

Batik

Experiment with the flow of hot wax and colored dyes. Create a prayer flag or a wall hanging. Batik is a fun wax resist-dyeing process created on cloth. Hot wax is applied to the cloth acting as a resist. Layers of painted dyes create exquisite light and dark patterns around drawn waxed designs.

Tile Making

Immerse yourself in the world of mud. Squish, roll and pound out your shapes. Learn the techniques of raised and carved shapes along with adding color to create a finished earthenware tile.
Select one date. Saturday January 30th, March 6th, or April 3rd.

Pricing and Registration

Cost is $60.00 per workshop or $150.00 if you sigh up for all three. Tuition includes art materials and beverages.

Artonomy's On-Going Adult Workshop

Rabbit Hole Workshop

Immerse yourself in five afternoons of creative exploration. This workshop offers group and individual guidance to expand technical knowledge of a given medium while fostering development of ones' artistic voice and style.

This workshop is held two hours weekly for five weeks. Workshops can be scheduled through Maggie at Artonomy@gmail.com or phone 303-570-6124. Mid-afternoon or evening times are available. Cost is $175.00 Materials included.

Open Studio Tuesday Evening—6pm to 8:30pm

Open studio provides you the space, materials and time to paint. Schedule this for you. Paint from a photo, a still life, ideas or techniques you want to explore. Basic materials provided.
